At Costa Coffee in Maidstone....

Sometimes.....not very often granted, but just occassionally, you get a perfect moment. The sun was shining, i was sitting in the shade, my hair gently moving in the breeze. I had my skinny latte, my book, my phone and a cigarette. It was just coming up to 9am and all the shops around me were beginning to open up. HMV is opposite and suddenly, as their shutters came up, i realised that they were playing Stand by Me by Oasis...... Of course, i had to put my book down to listen, and it was at thyat moment i thought.....does life really get any better than this :o)

I scoured the shops in Rochester High Street today...every antique shop, every charity shop, looking for a god jar (note the lower case "g"). Ive got some ideas on what im going to do with it, watch this space.............

Im trying to find something, one thing, everyday, to inspire me. Be it written, or visual.......

Today, i found this tree stump outside a church in Tunbridge Wells. I decided to visit the church as an "artists date", hoping to find some "peace" and a sense of calm. Unfortunately, it was closed, but im glad now, as i wouldnt have found it :o)

Has It Really Been That Long?

I havent blogged for a while...in fact, i havent been creative for a while :o(
Ive become....stuck.....blocked....so ive resorted to doing The Artists Way by Julia Cameron again lol

Im still journalling, but thats about it lol

Perry Green

Went to Perry Green at the weekend, to see Hoglands, the former home of Henry Moore. Ive been a fan of Moore ever since my sculpture classes back in the late 90's, and always wanted to see more of his work, first hand. I wasnt dissapointed :o)

Posters?

A close friend of mine has suggested that i make some of my work into posters. Im a bit wary of that, have a big hang up with things being original (because i like to buy original stuff) and i worry about how you stop other people reproducing your work :o(

Anyway, im gunna give it a go.....starting with this one. If it looks good blown up i might take it to the shop in Bluewater where they put photo's onto canvas for you.......
